On June 13, our community celebrated the diamond jubilee of profession of Sr. Josefa, <\/b>Sr. Edith Maria, and Sr. Christa Maria,<\/b>as well as the silver jubilee of profession of Sr. Magdalene.<\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Sr. Josefa<\/strong> was born in Bad Hall, Upper Austria. With her calm and serene demeanor, she was an excellent and empathetic educator for decades\u2014first at the Elisabethinum, then working with the boys in F\u00fcgen. She was also always a source of support for the staff and her fellow sisters and always had an open ear for everyone. She needed these qualities for her many years of service in the leadership of the order, first as provincial vicar in Hall and later as house superior in Schwaz. Even now, she continues to help wherever she can, handles the accounting, and is there for the sisters.<\/p>\n

\n

\"\"Sr. Edith Maria<\/strong> is from Weerberg. All her life, she worked as a seamstress at the provincial house, making sure the sisters had clothes to wear. Sewing a religious habit is no easy task, and she made only custom-tailored garments. In between, she also knitted and crocheted diligently. This resulted in beautiful items that brought great joy to many people. Even today, she sits at her knitting machine every day. Furthermore, she could be described as a living encyclopedia of the convent, as she remembers almost all birthdays, admission dates, and so on by heart.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Sr. Christa Maria<\/strong> is from Toblach in South Tyrol. Having grown up in a large family herself, the well-being of children is particularly close to her heart. She trained as a preschool teacher and worked first at the Elisabethinum and then with the boys in F\u00fcgen. She devoted herself to the boys with all her heart and empathy. Many of these relationships have endured to this day. For several years now, she has been leading the community in G\u00f6tzens. She is also active in the Birgitz parish as a sacristan. When she had an accident last year and was unable to work for several months, she was greatly missed, and everyone was happy when she returned.<\/p>\n

\n

\"\"Sr. Magdalene<\/strong> was born in Cameroon and joined the Tertiary Sisters at a young age. After taking her vows, she worked primarily as a secretary. She also undertook training as a spiritual guide in Kenya. In 2016, she moved to Austria, quickly learnt German and subsequently worked in nursing care at Klaraheim. She completed training as a home health aide and nursing assistant, as well as part-time training as a pastoral carer in nursing homes and as a companion to people approaching the end of their lives (Hospiz Begleiterin). Sr Magdalene is a very attentive caregiver whose cheerful disposition benefits the residents greatly. She has also been actively involved in the provincial leadership for nearly a year. She also delights many people with her beautiful singing voice.<\/p>\n

The sisters celebrating their anniversaries joyfully celebrated together with the community of sisters, as well as with their family members and friends. The Mass was a colorful event. It featured everything from traditional Tyrolean brass band music and the sisters’ choir to African dance and music performances.<\/p>\n

\n

After the solemn Mass, which included the renewal of vows, everyone was invited to a cozy lunch in the banquet hall. It was a wonderful day of fellowship that everyone enjoyed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
