The Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi have elected a new Leadership Team! On April 30, during the 2023 Chapter of Elections, delegates chose Sister Joanne Schatzlein as the new congregation Director, Sister Charlotte Roost as Vicar/Associate Director, and Sister Sylvia Anne Sheldon, as Associate Director.
The new team was installed during a liturgy on Sunday, June 11. They will serve a four-year term.
All three of the elected members have served on previous leadership teams as associate directors. Sister Joanne served from 1995 to 1999. Sister Charlotte served from 1995 to 1999 and from 1999 to 2003. Sister Sylvia Anne was on the team from 2015 to 2019.
The election concluded the 2023 Chapter, which consisted of the Chapter of Affairs, held March 1-4, and the Chapter of Elections, April 28-30. The delegates also gathered March 25-26 for a Community Reflection Weekend.
