Tertiary Sisters Open New School in Northeastern Nigeria Serving Nursery Through Secondary Students

On Tuesday, 8th September 2026, a new chapter in the educational mission of the Tertiary Sisters of St Francis (TSSF) was opened with the inauguration and blessing of the St Francis of Assisi Inclusive Comprehensive Institute, Takum, in the Catholic Diocese of Wukari, Taraba State, Nigeria.

The school was officially commissioned and blessed by Most Rev. Dr. Mark Maigida Nzukwein, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Wukari, in the presence of Mother Theodosia Baki, Superior General, and Sr. Angela Ngube Emade, Provincial Superior (TSSF) MHP, Priests, religious men and women, invited guests and the people of Takum.

The inauguration marks more than the opening of another school. It represents a commitment to the education and formation of children and young people and a practical response to the needs of families and society today.
