Since 2012, the Austrian Conference of Religious has given merit awards to religious institutes to recognize outstanding commitment to social, political, and spiritual initiatives between religious institutes and society. This year, the Defence of Democray initiative, led by Sr. Notburga Maringele, TSSF, was one of three projects receiving the 2024 Religious Award. Sr. Notburga and her team, based in Hall, Austria, received the award in Vienna-Lainz on 26 November, the Austrian Day for Religious.
