Español Our Congregation
The Tertiary Sisters of St. Francis are a community of 481 women in Africa, Europe, and South America dedicated to delivering hope, comfort, and Good News where it is needed most.
Our sisters come from many backgrounds, professions, and from more than a dozen countries. Some serve in their home countries, and others, an ocean away.
Every day, we strive to put into practice the principles of our founder Maria Hueber: equality, aid to the downtrodden, and service to God.
Our Congregation
Jubilee
When a sister celebrates a milestone anniversary––25, 50, even 75 years of service––we call her a jubilarian. Come meet our Sisters who’ve spent a lifetime helping others.
Our Four Provinces
Our congregation is organized into four provinces: two in Europe, one in Africa, and one in South America. Our headquarers, or generalate, is in Rome.
