Sr. Cäcilia Oberhammer

I was born in South Tyrol (Italy) on 25 October 1952. As a teenager, I attended a school run by the Tertiary Sisters of St. Francis, which is how I came to know and join the community. I made my final vows in 1977.

I was able to attend nursing school and worked for many years in our Order’s hospital, the “Marienklinik” in Bozen. It was a special joy for me to be involved in the practical training of the nurses. After 9 years of direct service to the community of sisters, I was elected General Councillor at the General Chapter 2019.

My motto is: “The joy of the Lord is our strength!” Nehemiah 8:10.
