On 5 and 6 June, we held our now-traditional Bolivian market at our provincial house in Hall. The event was called Tag der offenen Klostertür (Open Day at the Convent).
The event featured a sale of Bolivian handicrafts, handicrafts made at Hall Convent, and bread, biscuits, and liqueur. The ointments made with herbs from the convent garden proved particularly popular. The Klostercafé, which served home-baked cakes, coffee and homemade juices, attracted a large number of customers.
Sr Maria Luise Eberharter gave several guided tours of the provincial house (Convent) to large groups of guests, who were very interested.
Everyone was delighted by the beautiful singing of the Hospice choir in the church. In between, actor Wolfgang Hundegger read stories from Bolivia.
To round off the event, our guests were served Tyrolean specialities and peanut soup made using a Bolivian recipe. Many people accepted our invitation, and both the concert and the provincial house tours were well attended. Everyone enjoyed the food and drink, and the market was a great success too.
By the end of the weekend, we were delighted to have raised substantial funding for projects in Bolivia.
