Tertiary Sisters of St. Francis to Celebrate 23rd Ordinary General Chapter

by Sr. Marceline Yenmuleh

From July 14 to 30, 2025, Tertiary Sisters of St. Francis from our provinces worldwide will gather at the Centro di Spiritualità Barbara Micarelli in Assisi to celebrate their 23rd Ordinary General Chapter. The theme, Pilgrims of Hope, reminds us that we are not passive observers of history, but women in motion: journeying in faith, seeking transformation, guided by the Holy Spirit and rooted in the Gospel.

Celebrating our Chapter during the Ordinary Jubilee Year, we feel especially called to deepen our reflection on the Jubilee theme.

The General Chapter is a visible expression of the unity and solidarity of all our sisters, assembled through their representatives (TSSF Constitutions, Art. 40). Held every six years, the Chapter is a time to look back with gratitude, reflect on the blessings received, assess our present reality, and discern the path ahead. It is a moment of spiritual renewal and shared discernment, focusing on our spirituality, community life, mission, and charism.

As the highest legislative authority in the Congregation, the Chapter will make key decisions for the life of the Institute and will elect the Supreme Moderator and her Council, who will serve from 2025 until the next Chapter in 2031.

We entrust this sacred time to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the maternal intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Francis of Assisi, and our Foundress, Venerable Maria Hueber. Please join us in prayer for a fruitful and grace-filled Chapter.

May the grace of the Holy Spirit be with us and work greater things through us to His greater glory.
—Maria Hueber, Foundress
